The Bay Shore Boys Win Division 2 Championship!

Captain Brian Keach went down just before cardiac hill with a rolled ankle and with that our task of winning seemed more daunting, however the boys rallied! It true Marauder fashion and ran as a pack! With their team running strategy they pushed each other. Danny O'donovan crossed the line with a season P.B. of 17:50.71 for Sunken Meadow and a 4th place finish for division 2. Next was Zach Rohr running 18:20.52 and finishing 9th. Right behind Zach in 10th place was Nolan Kata with a season PB of 18:23.32. Freshman phenom Jake Rabin stepped it up big time, finishing 12th and running an all time personal best for S.M. of 18:27.46, also ensuring he was among the top 5 freshman in the county! Finishing almost by his side was Darin Cofield and Perry Balsamo, along with Nolan this sophomore trio has a bright future if they continue to pack run and support each other. This was a huge win for the boys program and our goal of being one of the perennial top programs. The boys set season goals and have been steadily reaching them. I have never been more proud of a team. Congratulations, great work boys! During the JV race Aidan Rooney and William Goode had amazing races considering the worsening weather conditions. They persevered to run season personal bests! Aidan finished 2nd for division 2 in the individual qualifier race with a time of 18:57. William Goode was with Aidan all the way finishing 4th with a time of 19:12. The boys as a team finished 4th out of 11 teams. It was also the best team finish for the J.V. boys all year.
